Scenario creator/ Sandbox mode

I'm loving this game so far, but it's kind of odd that there's only one game mode- you just play the game, and that's it. These types of games typically also tend to come with alternate game modes. For example, there are often premade scenarios, where you start out with a specific set of conditions and have to achieve a specific goal. They also usually include the ability to make your own custom scenarios, and/or some kind of sandbox mode. Is anything like this already in the works? If not, how many people would want to see these features added to the game?

Right now we're in early Alpha, so it's all about getting the concepts down and functioning.  I'm pretty confident that we'll get 'challenges' and such, like scenarios and sandbox mode (IMHO), so hang tight!

I think that a sandbox(creative) mode would be of greater benefit to the game early on instead of later because it would give all us alpha testers a chance to adapt to any changes made with the mechanics in the game in the future without needing to do the intro portion of the game every time there is an update. This would allow for us to find bugs and suggests for changes at a faster rate after an update so the devs could start to work on fixing the bugs for the next update as soon as possible.
