Left4twenty
Noticed the printing pod has a "melt temperature, and was just thinking "what if?". I can't think of a way to get the area around the printing pod that hot though. So what if someone built a building inside somewhere near magma and blocked it off from repairs? Does the building/materials actually liquify? Is there a way to have my dupes get the cave crazies and melt what is essentially their mother in the hopes of riches? MoMuffins
I read that it will go poof when it reaches melting temp. Falcahtas
It melts into iron. You can superheat anything by using the liquid tepidizer, just keep switching it back on when it goes off due to not being in liquid. Might be easier to enclose the area you want to heat with insulated tiles. You can reach up to 4000 K pretty easily, and can melt all the raw metal into refined metal ie Copper Ore becomes Copper. Catus
It melts (disappeared), also there is a melt down point but seems useless. By the way, I've also tired to reach the melting point of a dupe (~9500 oC) by using debug mode, but the game crashed when to temp reach that point.
