Add Density to material properties.

Recommended Posts

I don't believe that with the current way the game works that is possible.
When I dig two blocks high of sandstone the weight roughly doubles. This makes absolutely no sense when you think about it and would make the density of objects weird.

Of course you may just mean a general density for each item, in which case that's just a simple list and would be super easy for them to program

Or at least to the liquids and gasses. Density is probably one of the quickest/easiest ways to judge how a liquid/gas mixture will separate. I assume it's being used in there somewhere anyways?

The game does not really work with density. Nothing floats in water, for instance - all solid materials fall through it like a rock, including ice. Gases have only "statutory" density, in the sense that hydrogen drifts up in oxygen. But pressure is given by mass, i.e. a vent will get blocked when its tile has 2000 g of any gas in it regardless of temperature.
