Nautilus Jr.
So, I am kinda new but Morbs and Pufts together is a great way to get slime for the bio destiller, but I have some questions about the pufts: 1. If Pufts suck up the polluted oxygen, what kind of oxygen do they replace for that? 2. Is there a way to make the chance of a puft spawning higher? terrachronos
Actually at the start of a game there are lots of pufts out and about, a lot of them just die. I haven't completely figured out what kills them. The ones that seem to survive on my worlds always spawn in areas with some polluted water and some room for the polluted oxygen to form. I knew it wasn't my duplicants.
Xyair
Not exactly answers to your question, but if you're looking to domesticate pufts there are a few things you should know. Pufts when overheated/cooled drop like flies. It's pretty important to have a stable temperature controlled set-up if you want to benefit from infinite slime. 30 is lower limit and 48ish is upper limit. Also the more you have the trickier it is to sustain. I had 2 constantly working and I needed a ton of batteries to keep them warm enough. Luckily the thermal update gives you the tools to automate it. Their 'poop' is cold too so you need a heating unit for them. Also they don't really replace the polluted O2 it becomes slime essentially. and if they do give off clean O2 it's nothing you can sustain by any degree with.
