Sorry for the late entry. This is the first in a series of chronicles about my alien colonies and their strange and quirky habits and pieces. This is a semi-roleplay type thing but it's also for bug reporting and a series of other entertaining bits and pieces. Cycle 51: Super Duper Laboratory

I've been working pretty hard on this place for a while now, I'm up to 6 duplicates, I'll call them "dupes" for short. There are more ready to be printed all the time but I don't have the resources to sustain them so I'll just keep them waiting for now. I seem to be running low on food even for the dupes already in my care. I've thrown up a few red alerts here and there for the past cyclic week (10 days) and it seems that they're managing to make emergency food stocks. The plants I placed aren't growing as fast as I'd like because of the sensitivity to heat.. they're only at 76F and they overheat.. such puny plants. I'm glad these dupes are tougher.

We've created some mush bars.. not the most glamourous food but it will get us through the growth of our newly created crop of bristles. Hopefully this will solve our food shortage problem.. now if I could just find a way to refrigerate it. I have to keep it cool enough to keep bacteria from growing.. that should be.. based on physics, below 40 degrees. Yes, that's a safe temperature to be sure.. but getting things cold is a challenge, there's a lot of ice downward, I should try to place my food down there for now until I can figure out another way to cool our food.

 

Well I need to get back to this little challenge.. water is scarce now.. There is a lot of polluted water around me. Better start filtering.
