crossto
A device that uses temperature differences to generate electricity. TEGs are reliable but inefficient and are not practical if player is rapidly expanding base. But I'd be great to combine excess heat and excess cold to produce electricity to power up lamps and doors. TEGs are deployed on gas pipelines and space missions. That's basically ONI. Void of Winter
Built next to abyssalite, a TEG should go nuts because of how cold it is. Abysallite does not conduct heat. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/75998-thermoelectric-generator/#findComment-884551 Share on other sites
Jonathan Hoffman
Is abysallite going to be utilized in future? I tried using it to cool chlorine, but as you said it's non-conductive. Saturnus
You can use it as building material in the new update. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/75998-thermoelectric-generator/#findComment-884558 Share on other sites

Sorry, I was thinking of a Sterling engine, a generator that runs off of thermal differential. One side touches abyssalite, the other touches normal temperature air or a building putting off heat, bingo, sucker runs like crazy. You can run little ones off of body heat or ice cubes.
