The hatch was there since day one and it walked around my dupes before so I didn't think anything of it. Then its big goofy mouth opened up and my sleeping dupe was gone. The dupe wasn't sleeping in a bed so maybe that prevents them from getting eaten in their sleep? But build your hat a nice fence, maybe a bit cooling to keep it comfortable, feed it stone and he will poop you coal. ProbsNotJack Posted February 26, 2017 Share Posted February 26, 2017 I had the same experience around cycle 7. Everyone was heading to bed but one decided to eat some food. The hatch simply walked up and ate her, leaving nothing but a half eaten field ration on the ground. It was prompted murdered later by drowning.
