The Lazy Traveler and default LMB action

Default left mouse button action on any creature with the lazy traveler is examination, while walking cane has attack action. Can it be the same with walking cane? The reason why it matters shown in the next example:

You are fighting klaus right now. You have walking cane and a weapon. To bait his attack you can come close to him using your keyboard (which is a terible choise if you are lagging or having a high ping) or give attack order with a walking cane and then click/give keyboard order to run away. With walking cane you can just click on Klaus, while with the lazy forager you have to use ctrl+LMB combo. This inconsistency is really uncomfortable, expecially if you've spent lots of days using walking cane first.
