What if I want a pet Catcoon, Hound, Ewecus, Dragonfly, or Glommer instead of a Kittykit, Vargling, Ewelet, Broodling, or Glomglom?

Pet versions would be different because they'd use the critter system, permanently follow you, get hungry, and have traits, instead of being a follower for a day, attack you, burn you, slime you, kick you, or require you to waste an inventory slot to bring them along with you.So, how about adding a new crock pot recipe for Birthday Cake and feeding it to a critter ages them up? This would allow people to keep the young versions forever if they want and allow other people to have grown up versions. Old pets need love too.

It would be a bit ridiculous to see full sized dragonflies or ewecuses all over the place so they can be scaled down a bit.

We also need Koalefant pets too, obviously.

I've always wanted to be able to have my own (permanent) Catcoon or Hound. Especially if the Hound was rideable like Beefalo. >:D

Dragonfly and Ewecus pose the problem of being (semi) boss monsters, so I honestly imagine that you'd lose them when they grow up. Perhaps they wouldn't attack you unless you attacked them first, but they would nonetheless refuse to follow you and would wander off into the wilderness on their own.

And with Glommer, isn't there only supposed to be one in the world at a time? Maybe they'd be the one critter that could never grow up. (I can easily imagine Glommers having incredibly long natural lifespans.)

Well like I said they would use the critter system so it wouldn't be an actual glommer. You couldn't spawn krampus by killing it. It would have traits that you can lock in. It would need to be fed. You wouldn't have to carry around a flower. It wouldn't goop all over the place. It wouldn't provide a sanity aura. It would be unkillable like all the other pets. There would still only be 1 true Glommer in the world.
