Critters Feedback

Recommended Posts

I like the idea of having pets, but I don't like the idea that we can craft them at a rock den. Instead, I would rather see these little guys in the wild among their own species making the game feel more alive. Killing them would give very little to nothing when compared to their parents, but they would be able to be tamed. Taming them shouldn't be as difficult as taming a Beefalo. Whether these pets should grow up or not after being tamed can be another discussion. I'd also would like to have a baby beefalo and a smallbird as a pet. Just my feedback.

I agree with this.  I prefer the idea of finding the critter and domesticating it over essentially crafting it.  Definitely agree that the domestication should be easier to achieve when compared to a Beefalo as the small pets would have no gameplay value.  Perhaps a target of a couple days of domestication to tame one.  Not sure if it should really take continual support to keep the pet (I kind of think so) but if so, it should probably be minimal (single food item periodically).
