PS4 to PC crossplay

I think it would be a nifty addition if you could have PC servers connect to PS4 servers as being on a computer, with this game doesn't give you much of an advantage. The game isn't about competition either, so it works out. I know the PS4 edition has came out just recently, but it could be a nifty addition to work on. The average DST player, may not even realise that it's even crossplaying.

It'd be cool.  As long as they add some sort of basic communication options for PS4 players.  Maybe a phrase wheel?  Cause typing out things on the PS virtual keyboard one letter at a time would make it really slow to communicate anything complicated.

Crossplay isn't exactly an easy thing to do. Otherwise you would see more games doing it. I'm sure at this point there are plenty of differences in the code between the PC and PS4 versions of the game. Usually games with crossplay are built from the very start with that idea in mind so that the game is almost identical across all the platforms. Plus things could get difficult when it comes to crossplay on modded servers. I think at this point it might be way too late for crossplay to actually happen now. It would have been nice, but I'm doubtful that it will ever happen.
