[Help] Clock Fudgery

I often come up with ideas impossible to recreate through mods, so here we go again!

I'd like to add a new section to the clock, complete with ambient color changes.  I have no idea if this is possible, but I'd have to play with the clock component, and of course the uiclock widget.  Specifically, I want to add a wedge or two before the "day" section of the...uh, day...called "twilight".  If anyone can help me accomplish this, it would be greatly appreciated!  God help you, with my crazy ideas.

There's the "Dawnbreak" mod by Heavenfall that adds a (you guessed it) dawn phase after night and before the next day. If this is not what you had in mind already, then at least it should help you get going.
