EmoTheKid
Sorry, I am new to Don´t Starve Together, so excuse me please if I´m doing something wrong/ not knowing something/ etc. So, I was playing with some guys on a Server [Slurtle Slime - Klei Official]. Didn´t go so well, we had to renew the map as almost everyone died. We build a new base. gathered stuff, everything went much better than before. We almost got through winter. And then... we all got ,,kicked" from the server. The day after, you could go on the server again, but the map was empty. What happened? Did the server restart? Is the map, all that work and love... just gone? Do you really have to make a private server to keep the map? Then, what is even the purpose of such a server? I don´t understand... I just want an answer, please. Meh ;[ Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/68816-server-restarts-map-gone/ Share on other sites
GentlemanFridge
My friend, losing a world is part of the game. It happens to everyone. I know the feeling of losing a loved world, where you spent countless hours on, and then *poof*, gone. We've all been there, and it still happens to everyone. Veteran and new players alike. Especially in Don't Starve Together, it is VERY easy to lose a world. So I advise to not get very attached to a world. (Even more so if it's a Klei Official server). Anyway, it is very much possible in that day you were away, the servers were reset. That could be because Klei itself did it, or everyone died, or a griefer came by and destroyed all bases. If you really wish to keep a world, then yes, you should have a private server. With only people you trust to play on it.
