verm1ll1on Posted June 17, 2016 Share Posted June 17, 2016 So there I joined a Dedicated Server in a Wilderness world mode. Total of 6 people, all fun and games until BAM! Oh, no! A griefer! Confusion happening in the game chat, so I asked what happened. Dude 1 claims his base was burnt by Dude 2. So what dude 2 does? He simply says: "tell where your bases are or I'll find them myself and burn them down". He's not playing to survive, he's not even trying. He's just roaming around looking for bases and burning them down. He doesn't have to care, once he dies, he'll just respawn. Let's kick him! So we start a kick vote. 6 players, so we need a total of 5 votes. We only get 4. Time and time again, we only get four. Either someone votes "no" or just doesn't vote. The griefer laughs and goes on with his business. After a while (a big while) people gave up on trying to kick him, it just didn't work. Some people got out, some new people got in and I decide to start the vote again. WE WON. HE WAS OUT. Non stop celebration in the chat, how happy we were to finally kick out that *******. Next step? World Regeneration. I didn't even ask, I just started the voting and everyone voted "yes" with not one piece of doubt in their hearts. We could finally survive and build without fear. So here's the thing: in a server with 64 players, 62 say "yes" and 1 says "no" to kick someone, the voting fails. 62 against 1. IT. FAILS. It's a god damn struggle to kick someone. I don't care the reason, if majority wants someone out, that someone should go out. Please, ODIN, PLEASE! fix this god damn piece of **** you've done to the voting system. Or at least give the option to use the old one when creating a server. It could work, but you also need to realize Klei is working on a new project as well as Shipwrecked AND DST on PS4. Oh, come on! How hard or time demanding could it be to reverse that thing to what it was? I see they're working on other stuff, so maybe they should leave DST alone for a bit. It's good as it is, regular bug fixes should be enough. And also their servers! Better Klei servers (even if it means fewer Klei Servers) and the old voting system. Then we could go on with just bug fixes.
