Karmattack
I know I already made a topic about potential new characters, but this is one I've had rattling around for a bit. I haven't actually created a character to go with it but their power would be Nostalgia and it would function like this: Basically tools and weapons they make or find have potential to become nostalgic. This doesn't do anything for them while the item is intact, but once it breaks later on at some point the character would "remember" the item and get a sepia-tinted memory copy of the item with half durability. Each item can only be remembered once, and to keep you from remembering pointless things like basic axes items would probably have to be at least Alchemy Engine or higher (with magic and ancient being considered higher for the purposes of this power) in order to be remembered. To add a bit of balance, if you've died and been revived between losing the nostalgic item and remembering it the memory will be "unreliable", giving it a decent chance to simply break on the first use. The power would allow you to get extra mileage out of difficult to find/make items, and if what you remember would be more useful to another character you can always share since this is DST. Karmattack
As for the character who has this power... I was thinking maybe a 20-something who was a late 90's-early 2000's kid? Nostalgia is strong with them. (Just imagine having their "speaking voice" be the trumpet solo from the Angry Beavers opening. xD) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67838-character-power-nostalgia/#findComment-779838 Share on other sites
