Could you give ghosts something to do?

If you're on a cooperative server, there basically isn't ANY punishment from dying aside from the health removal. Kicking someone from the game entirely until the server resets would be horrible. What if it's endless, and the Host never resets because they have a mod where resources renew themselves? I'll give you a while to answer, I'm actually open to ideas of a workaround through that. 

What you say about someone taking you stuff only really apply to specific servers and not the ones im talking about which are revolved around cooperative play. As is, like you say, there is no real punishment to die (the current one is too forgiving and can be fixed with mid game loot and some weak sauce telltale heart). Kicking someone from the game (for inadequately preparing for death/avoiding death) is fair. if you run into a marsh without armour and die on day 5 without even finding the touchstone. you deserve to be dead and you shouldn't be allowed to just come back with a tiny hp loss. there are touchstones, effigies, amulets. there is no reason to be scared of death if your a competent player or have a good productive team. 

Klei is accommodating for the new players too much by making death such a breeze, which is fine, more people playing the game the better, but i feel like they should set the tone back to the way it was in the original where, you died because you were being reckless. well its ALLL gone mate. shouldn't have gotten cocky. They already have wilderness which is very easy with no ghost sanity drain and you can rez at the portal, now all they need to do is actually make survival.... survival like, instead of just wilderness Lite.

This is why ghosts are so boring, its just a waiting line, instead of a threat. even if you were just racing to your pal with a telltale heart to avoid the boot of the server, its more gripping and not boring. Thats why i suggested it in this thread, people want ghosts to not be boring, i say make death the punishment it was always meant to be and you will see alot less complaint of ghost boredom.

You will see more threads of people raging because they died in the marsh without armour on day 3, but its their own fault. Play wilderness.

I do not believe this should be extended to endless, only survival. endless can be the causal game mode, wilderness can be tryhard, and survival can be the standard dont starve experience. feel free to disagree, sorry for the delay aswell ive been very busy with exams.

Yes you can track down dirt piles, and if im also correct, i think you can chase mactusk giving your team mates an easy kill, but i may be wrong.
