fps problem capped at 30

i know this is kinda old issue and probably may have been solved without my knowing, but i experienced it and it is bugging me.

fps counter in steam shows me the game capped at 30 fps even in the main menu and the game fps drops gradually as the game played on for few hours, is there anyone out there know how to nullify the problem? the fps drops is insufferable during hurricane season and i died a couple of times due to it.

the game still stucks at 30 fps while the main menu locked at 60 fps

What mods are you using?

i disabled all the mods  and try tweaking all the settings and managed to hit the 60 fps and it is super smooth... (never go back to 30 fps again @-@, imagined how the 144 fps would be like)

are you trying to say mods could be causing the problem?

i was using like 5 or 6 at a time

They could... If you are using a minimap (eg. Minimap HUD) AND a mod that gives you additional icons on the map (eg. [T] Map Plug-in) then you surely will have much worse fps. So if this is the case - I suggest you use only one of those 2.
