Luis95R
I was just playing some Don't Starve and made it to winter and realized that my thermal stone cools down really quickly compared to when I play Don't Starve Together. Is that how it's suppose to be? It only stays orange for like thirty second maximum when I get away from a fire, and then it turns yellow. Do thermal stones work differently on DS and DST? Serph
Yes, DST Thermal stones last longer but have durability. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/65889-thermal-stones-cool-down-quickly/#findComment-741058 Share on other sites
Luis95R
Thank you so much for replying. I had thought that maybe it was a bug, Ever since I tried playing Don't Starve last year (after having played and experienced DST first) I was put off from playing by the fact that I thought the thermal stones cooling down quickly, in Winter was a bug that needed to be fixed. I feel silly now lol. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/65889-thermal-stones-cool-down-quickly/#findComment-741074 Share on other sites

The lack of durability makes them better for switching between a neutral and a hot/cold stone when you get back to your fire/fridge or carry an ice chester, so you don't have to wait. They are also more effective in your backpack for some buggy reason (if you put a bunch of thermal stones in your backpack they will change your body temperature much faster).
