I like to explore and chop down trees with my torch and I constantly die from a coconut or a seed being picked up in my hand so I am unable to quickly switch to my torch. If I right click or left click anywhere my character tries to place the seed. This is very annoying. Any solution to this? Having the ability to hold items in your hand is really nice but this is reason enough for me to just use the Xbox Controller because when the interface gets all crazy like this and doesn't let me right click on my torch it makes me wish I was using the controller. Zillvr Posted March 4, 2016 Share Posted March 4, 2016 Hey @NoQuitting if you have a fresh coconut in your cursor, you can drop it by right clicking anywhere on screen that you can't plant the coconut on. Examples of these places are on other trees or nearby plant life. I hope that helps, cheers. I did begin to notice this... the only problem is this is a serious problem at night time where I can't see anything at all and I need to equip my torch in 2 seconds! I tested right clicking on the clock to see if it would work to no avail. I guess I just need to learn that I can't pick up items without having my torch out. Zillvr Posted March 4, 2016 Share Posted March 4, 2016 @NoQuitting what I'll suggest is that you always have a torch ready in your inventory, and simply pressing the hot key for the item bar slot would allow you to switch the tools/weapon slot with a torch. So have the torch placed on the far left of the item bar and simply pressing 1 will switch out your currently held tool/weapon with the torch. You could also right click the coconut on your character and this will drop the coconut without planting it and even in the dark we all know the character is always at the center of the screen so just gauge where your character is and press right click, then switch out your tool/weapon with the torch by pressing 1. Also the transition from dusk to night is long enough for you to craft a torch and equip it if need be. Good luck!
