Russian
I've been thinking .. Because the "early access" stuff is, well, a subject to change (sometimes a lot) maybe it is possible to implement such a feature where the player can choose the "ruleset" upon starting the new game? That kind of stuff was there, rudimentary, in the original and RotG Don't Starve. Which is cool. How about implementing that as a full feature? Say, some ppl wanna play the game where the spiders are strong, but the tree guards are weak. Some would probably like a bit of halo from the lightbugs being carried in the backpack (as it was some time ago with DS) Some want more sea challenges, some want more land challenges. I'm aware that all those modifications are available via "mods". Then again, the mods might break the game after the next release. Maybe that's not a trivial task, but still it might be beneficial in the long term to separate the "rule sets" from the generic game logic and provide the choice of a specific "ruleset" ab initio. Hugeisno1
We'll probably get the same world gen options as with the previous installments later on. We simply need to be pacient.
