Don't starve together opens but it does not open

The title might seem a bit confusing, but the thing is I have no better way to describe the problem, after today's update, my don't starve has been set to fullscreen automatically and when i open it, steam says it's playing, there's the icon in my task bar but when I click on it i just hear the music, there's no image no menu nothing. Not even my mouse shows up it's just my desktop screen with the don't starve music.

Manually changing the ini files in order to get out of fullscreen doesn't work at all. i already changed resolutions to a bunch of new ones that ppl said would work and it doesn't, i guess the only way to play is to put on windowed mode (which don't work changing the files manually, and it's impossible to change through the game as i'm not able to see anything).

A little help would be appreciated.

Should you encounter any bugs or issues while playing Don't Starve Together, please post them on our DST Bug Tracker. It helps us keep all reported bugs trackable and in one location.

That being said, delete your settings.ini file (doing so will revert all graphics settings to their default values) to see if that makes a difference. If not, restart your computer, verify the game cache for DST, and then run the game. If the issue persists, please post the contents of your DxDiag and log files.

thanks, most of those i already tried (except deleting the .ini files) and i'm sorry for posting it in the wrong section (somehow i couldn't select bug tracker while selecting a section), i'll let you know if it worked.
