Wardrobe is too expensive

Recommended Posts

Yeah yeah, i know wood/grass is the easiest thing to find in the world but i think it's too much.

My problem is, if we are building a base, those 4 boards are much better spent in something like a Prestihator or a chest. Yes, i could make a Wardrobe but nobody should prioritize skin change over base building, most servers i go nobody even bothers making it. The recipe doesn't make sense either. I get the boards but why do i need 3 grass and an alchemy engine to make a simple Wardrobe?

My point is, the Wardrobe is flammable, wastes space and serves no gameplay benefit at all but it's still something you want to build as soon as possible so everyone can change skins anytime they want. It should be easy and acessible. Make it Science machine tier, maybe change it to 1-2 boards + 1 gold or rope?

Well, a simple wardrobe would just store clothes, i.e. be a bigger specialized chest. This is a magical wardrobe, since it fetches skins out of the world (your steam inventory), so it costs more.

I usually select skins at joining the server. Later I have the opportunity to change them when I get a new piece.

It doesn't matter if "it's magical wardrobe so it costs more", it's still a useless structure gameplay-wise so there is much more incentive to use those boards in something useful like chests. The fact that you have the option to change clothes when you get a gift makes it even more useless.

Yes, I feel there is no point in building the wardrobe in the early game, the resources and time are better spent building the base. In the late game the resources needed for it are easy to get.

What confuses me is that you want to build it as early as possible, while at the same time you ackowledge that it serves no purpose building it so early.
