Ecu
Curiously, how does one create their own preset for world generation under the new system? I cannot seem to locate how this is done. I've created a new level, but my level is not select'able. However, if I launch a dedicated server, I can utilize my level correctly. So, how is this done for non-dedicated servers? Therefore, you don't have access to your level yet, it doesn't exist. You can either: 1) Put a worldgenoverride.lua file in DoNotStarveTogether, very much like for dedicated servers. This way you will override your worldgen after your click on Generate World. 2) Add your level in a client side mod, because those can be activated on the main menu, making your level appear. Ecu
This seems quite awkward, as world generation is a purely server-side thing. I wouldn't want to force people to have a mod to join a server that I customized. Just awkward. Is there some kind of nice solution? Where I can make a client-side aspect that is optional to give access to the level settings? The more I try to do with this game the more frustrated I become. >.< Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/63559-worldgen-presets-and-dst/#findComment-715849 Share on other sites

They wouldn't see the preset and custom settings you used, but they don't need them. 11 minutes ago, Ecu said: Where I can make a client-side aspect that is optional to give access to the level settings? You can only do a client side mod that gives people the preset, so they can see the custom settings you use. If they don't have the settings you can use, then when your server tells them what do you use on the listing, then they wouldn't know what to show.
