SirBuizelton Posted January 25, 2016 Share Posted January 25, 2016 I can't be the only person who feels like it's just a miserable season with few redeeming qualities. To me, the only real threat it poses is poison mosquitoes, and by the time monsoon season rolls around, if you don't already have a seashell suit or like 12 anti-venoms to completely nullify mosquitoes then I just don't even know what to tell you. And you probably wouldn't have survived Hurricane season without some form of water prevention, so that's a given by now too. 2 pigskins, 2 silk, some sticks, and 3 grass. Entire flood season conquered. Break a borehouse and kill some spiders, it's that easy and I have like 40 days to do it. My point is I really feel like it could use some work. For me, it's just not challenging, it's more on the irritating side of things. And as far as I know, the only solution we have for controlling the flooding is very time-consuming, awkward, un-intuitive and I guess it doesn't even work anymore? I dunno. I can't even be bothered to make sandbags anymore, I just let my base get flooded and shrug it off with an umbrella and pigskin helmet. I'm playing as Warly right now so it's even easier because his crockpot can't be shut down by flooding. Am I being too harsh? Am I missing something? Have the devs said anything about this? I feel like I'm just totally in the dark on it, I haven't really seen it mentioned much. Meneervis Posted January 25, 2016 Share Posted January 25, 2016 Surviving in the monsoon season isn't fun or a challenge, it's just irritating because of the puddles. I've seen base in the middle of the island that got flooded in monsoon season. Monsoon season doesn't feel fixed to me if I look at it.
