TheXtomiser
Spoiler Coding TEX file clarification and artist wanted I am bad at art. And am making a character that is an anthropomorphic turtle or snake (artists choice). A person to help would be nice and given credit for their work. While I know Lua and XML I do not know how important the .TEX files are in the sense of having to edit them. (Do I just leave them, or edit them for an according character. Thank you in advance, TheXtomiser aka Turtleman (on steam)

Arkathorn
TEX files are a special image format used by Don't Starve. They are used in conjunction with XML Atlas files to load image assets into the game. Klei has provided a standard toolkit, the "Don't Starve Mod Tools" (available on Steam if you have Don't Starve). This kit includes a script that compiles PNGs into TEX/XML pairs (provided that they are in a subset of the 'images' or 'bigportraits' folders of your mod) automatically upon launching the game.
