raincole Posted January 18, 2016 Share Posted January 18, 2016 My friend and I both have very bad upload speed. When I host a normal server he lags a lot, and vice versa. Usually, we have another friend who hosts server so we can all play smoothly. But that guy decided to quit. I'm considering using AWS EC2(a cloud hosting service) so we can keep playing. But I have only one steam account with one copy of DST(of course my friend has his own copy too). And the wiki says I need a copy to host dedicated server. My problem is, does it mean I need two copies, one for hosting and one for playing? Or the same copy can be used as dedicated server and client, which are on different machines?
