The Witch

witch, potions, don't, starve, JSmithOTI, cauldrons have been discussed already. This is simply an idea I thought would be cool to have in the game.

There should be a witch, like the one from loz:lttp. She appears in the swamp area with a cauldron. The cauldron would work like the crock pot, where you put in items, but there's no list of what comes out. So you can get potions that give a temporary positive, negative, or neutral effect depending on the ingredients used. For example speed up, damage up, double time, slow time, dancing, spider attractant, big head, color change, transmutation, damage down, etc. Names of all potions should be ??? Until placed in the science or alchemy machine to research them. This will give need to going back to the machines because you might have two red potions, but they dont stack and you wanna know why not. Also, if you kill the witch then she and her cauldron disappear leaving behind a dangerous potion, thats name is Drink Me. This special amnesia potion relocks all the items you researched. Its sort of like resetting the game but it only affects that one aspect leaving everything else(the unlockable characters and outside game achievements) alone. Now the good thing to doing so is that A.) It makes the game replayable by allowing you to play as other characters while giving you the feeling of playing it all over again. B.) The potion allows you to unlock a new character to play as. I dont have an idea as to what kind of character, but it would be cool to incorporate other ways to unlock

characters besides just the xp after each death. Lastly, the potions can be given to your followers to give them bonuses or change how they look, or dropped on the ground for enemies to take.

Again, i am new here and apologize if anyone else had this idea before me. This idea came to me when i was watching JSmithOTI's play through of Don't Starve. I thought potions or something to that effect would be helpful and really increase the number of things to do in the game.

There is the possibility of a witch character but whether she will be implamented at this stage is unknown.

Thanks. I didnt mean the witch as a playable character, but more as an npc like the pig king. Although playing as a witch would be cool.
