JohnRambu
I'm running a dedicated server on my NAS (dual core 1.8Ghz, 2Gb RAM, optic fiber), it's ok for 2/3 players but when 4th comes in, it goes to 100% CPU and server becomes very laggy... I tried to reduce tick rate, disable every mods, it reaches 100% CPU after 1/2 minutes after starting. Do you have any suggestion ?
thasmo
I'd say a NAS is not the best solution for setting up a dedicated server. Even your PC has probably more power than the NAS.I'm running a "1GB Ram / 30GB SSD Disk" virtual server on Digital Ocean and it can handle up to 6 players if the world is not too old and not too many things are going on. That said I suggest you run the server on your PC or look for a hosted solution or some sort of virtual/dedicated machine.Just my 2 cents.
