Chamsey Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 Boat lanterns suck currently and Buoys would make for a good stationary replacement. Like a fire pit at sea. You put in charcoal, or logs, or any burnables and it creates a light over an area. Maybe also have it "Smart", or have a "Smart Buoy" made with doodads that turn off during the day and save fuel. They would make nice markers and path lines. Maybe even attracting some nocturnal wildlife.Make it out of boards, ropes and doodads, and then you construct them at sea. cryssztal Posted December 24, 2015 Share Posted December 24, 2015 Like I previously suggested, I think buoys would be super useful functioning the same way as signs do on land to mark important areas of the map. I don't think there needs to be a light option; I'm not staying in one place at sea long enough for that to be useful.
