Chamsey
Of all the things I'd expect them not to steal, it would be traps. Traps are made to be placed on the ground and left, unlike most things in Don't Starve, and I think they should be immune to monkey pillaging. Maybe they steal what's in a trap, but never the trap itself. I get that they are annoying and everpresent as a downside, and (insert upside here) as an upside so that makes them balanced, but they shouldn't take things that are meant to be put on the ground. I'd argue the same for vegetables in my garden, but I don't know what's going on behind the scenes at klei, and there must be a reason for it. Maybe they haven't added any major exceptions to their programming yet, maybe they think it's fun, who knows. DuckBoy
Upside: They're delicious. 1 Morsel, 1 fruit for what? 2-3 durability of your spear? You are MAN. If they take the crab traps, build traps for monkeys! Take back the jungle! 2wit
They'll also pluck mandrakes if they find them while you're around. Their stealing is really a bit much. I burn any nearby huts (they don't seem to mind) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/61166-suggestion-apes-shouldnt-pick-up-traps/#findComment-702570 Share on other sites
