[SUGGESTION] Fires spreading on the wind?

Recommended Posts

I think it would be a nice realistic touch and a fun way to make hurricane season more torturous if strong winds caused uncontained fires (campfires, lightning-struck fires, etc) to be capable of igniting objects from a much longer distance in the direction downwind of the fire. It'd give people a nasty surprise when they tried to light campfires, wouldn't it?

One potential problem is that this might cause forest fires to spread excessively if it was windy but not raining, because I'm not sure if being wet from previous rain rather than being currently rained on actually makes structures harder to ignite. I know it makes inventory items burn poorly, but I don't know if that applies to trees. (I hardly ever see a forest fire when it's wet but not actually raining at the moment, so I don't have a lot to go on.)
