Flooding really isn't that big a deal...

So my Sandbags didn't quite make me proud, but once the flood waters did come in, I found that I was able to stay dry with something as simple as a Football Helmet and an Umbrella. Sure, I'd get a little wet while chopping down trees in a flood, but that's what the campfire is for.

 

Not that I think floods are implemented particularly well, of course. They're like little springs in random places. But that's a separate issue. As for this one, even if everything gets all wet, the worst you have to worry about is that your machines won't operate.
