Need help converting DST Character mod to DS

So I've played DS for a while, and I'd always wished there was a Finn character mod since I'm super obsessed with Adventure Time.

Then I found one for Don't Starve Together, so I'd been playing that for a while, though alone, as I much prefer the singleplayer experience.

However, I am missing regular Don't starve, since it's obviously made for singleplayer. The only problem is, the Finn mod is for DST only.

Does anyone know how to convert a character mod from DST so it's playable in DS? I've tried contacting the mod's creator but they haven't responded.

I don't really know anything about modding, so if it's too complicated, I won't be able to do it. I was just wondering if it's something simple that I'd be able to do.

hmm, tbh, I'm not sure if it'd be very simple to do with no programming knowledge.

 

But maybe my word isn't the best to take on that, because I've never even gotten a DS mod to work in DST before. So maybe it actually is easy and I'm just doing something incredibly wrong.

That's a whole other mess, and much more difficult.

 

 

Two of my mods are ports of DST content to Don't Starve. It's not terribly difficult, but you need to know what you are doing. I would be happy to port the mod, but it would be impertinent/illegal to do so without the author's permission.

yeah I don't wanna do anything rude or disrespectful. I was just wondering if it was something simple like transferring the files to another folder or something, Idk. like I said, my experience with this stuff is minimal.

 

in that case, I'll just wait until I'm able to contact the author.
