Fidooop
I do admit that I'm very guilty of idling (PROOF!: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=559030782 ) but as a community with a fresh new economy we can not allow for idling! When someone goes off with 5+ accounts (I only have 1 account) and idles them all it inflates EVERYTHING completely changing the value of items every time they get an item! So here's my solution that'll work temporarily... I know mods are going to end up countering this but for the most part we can stop a lot of it by simply adding to the function that runs every time you enter something into the console. a nice little mark of sorts that will deem the entire world/server unworthy of gifts and therefor you have to start up a new world if you're gonna want to find your gifts. I don't like saying that but it's a really good way to completely counter inflation! Which is really bad... To counter mods doing anything would be a little more tricky but I'm sure there are solutions! 1 of which could be to have a blacklist filled with mod IDs or something of that sort that basically will disable gift drops on servers with those mods enabled! I don't know. what does the community and Klei think about that? Welcome to life. Rip server admins and their servers. To counter mods doing anything would be a little more tricky but I'm sure there are solutions! 1 of which could be to have a blacklist filled with mod IDs or something of that sort that basically will disable gift drops on servers with those mods enabled! Of course, because all mods are in the workshop. And I wouldn't edit the game files manually. I don't like saying that but it's a really good way to completely counter inflation! Which is really bad... This solves nothing. If you want to have an economy, you will have people playing the system. Happens everywhere. Instead of having a trillion skins, there should have been some of them, and all unlocked from the beginning. What's the point, the purpose, of skins? If DST is going Free-To-Play then I want another roadmap. Fidooop
you could always offer up a 'same IP' gift block when there are 3 or more accounts of the same IP playing at the same time. I guess that's a lot less invasive... but then there'd be a problem with families that play DST wouldn't there? hmmmm.... DarkXero
Because nobody has a dynamic IP.Because nobody can go to a computer on a different place or access it remotely. Don't hate the players, hate the game. You can also hate both.
