ydilbaz
Hi everyone, I'm trying to make a character mod. I've used extented sample sample character mod to begin and then because I don't know how to design a character from scratch I just used a different mods artwork then do some changes. Mods I used to begin: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/46849-tutorial-using-extended-sample-character-template/?hl=%2Bsample+%2Bcharacter http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=455136145 Steps I've taken: Changing names and files names on extented sample character.Making the character op (300 Health/Sanity/Hunger, 0.5 Hunger Rate and some serious speed with starting items)Copy the all image files from Bucky and replace "bucky" text with my character nameDo changes on exported images (only in "headbase" and "headbase_hat" folder)Crate tex files Aaand it's not working. It worked when I just copied Bucky image files -without changing any-. After I've modified images, it just stopped working and crashing everytime I activate the mod. PS: I'm going to use it myself so I suppose there is no harm in copying someone else's work, right? Here is my mod, any help is appreciated.. http://we.tl/M06U0KfjG1
Arkathorn
I'm going to use it myself so I suppose there is no harm in copying someone else's work, right? As long as you don't release it or claim it's yours, you should be fine. In regards to your issue, do you have the Don't Starve Mod Tools installed? You can find them in the 'Tools' tab in Steam. Once installed, a program called the autocompiler will run every time your game launches. The program scans for modified animations in 'exported' and modified textures in 'images' and 'bigportraits', and converts them into formats the game can use (SCML to ZIP for animations, PNG to TEX for textures). ydilbaz
Okey, I've solved the problem. After I changed the image files I added some starting items and forgot to add "," between them... Noob mistakes I guess But thanks anyway!
