Pookah84 Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 It doesn't start at all with Windows XP since 147468.When running from the icon I get the error:"The procedure entry point inet_pton could not be located in the dynamic link library Ws2_32.dll"This error is related to the Winsock in Windows XP. The call for inet_pton is in the Windows Vista and later and is related to the IPV6.Unless this is corrected by Klei in DST no one with Windows XP will be able to run the game at all.My Husband and I are hoping that this is corrected as we have been loving the game and enjoyed testing since January. I'm not bothering with uploading the log.txt file here, since it was not updated in last three days anyway, since the game doesn't even launch to overwrite it. Since update 147468, when in Steam, and I go to run DST, it just won't start.When run from the icon it stops with the Windows error "The procedure entry point inet_pton could not be located in the dynamic link library Ws2_32.dll"I haven't been able to play since the 19th. My system is Windows XP Pro 32bit.One of the reasons I purchased the DST Frontier pack is that it stated it supported Window XP.My Husband and I have loved playing together (also XP) and made it through the early alpha days since January. His Windows XP system is doing the same thing. This must be the 147468 or 147566 update because it worked since the August 5th (145705) update up until the 20th update. I do hope that this is fixed on the next update soon. I see that it has been an issue all over the place and even years ago. It sounds like you have tried a number of our troubleshooting steps.
