how to create a character on dont starve together (mine keeps crashing)

hi guys. im faily new to creating a don't starve character and i am really excited to make this character. now i have followed some videos online which are all outdated now on creating a character and i pretty much have this character almost complete but every time i upload it into my mods folder and enable it in game it crashes right after i enable the mod, and i have checked the entry log for the game but i dont understand what it is trying to tell me. can someone please help. or point me in the direction of an up to date character creation video.

Just a question mobb, to create character in DST , is the same way that is created in the original game?

i got it working, but i have a weapon using a template from another modder, and my weapon has a projectile, now i can see the weapon in my inventory but when i use it it doesnt spawn a projectile. the weapon works i would just like to see the artwork. now does this have something to do with the anim.bin in the Zip folder, and if it does how do i fix that

also how do i upload this character onto steam i have been trying to find out and google seems to push me in all different directions

now this is a bit much but if someone can help with this that would be awsome. now im trying to get my character to have an attack, now i will implement another weapon they will spawn with. but is there a way to get this weapon to summon a thunder storm and effect all nearby targets.? also when this happens is there a way to decrease the users hunger. now i have been at this for a while now. and im fairly new to all of this. but i feel like this will be a bit of work. if you cant figure it out its fine

thanks alot ill deffinately take a look at that. but just a quick question before i do some digging. would you happen to know why the animation doesnt spawn for the projectile. also it doesnt show up when i place it on the ground. and another thing i cant figure out why my characters speed and certain abilities dont activate after he respawns from a ghost.
