Smoldering, Fire Spread and Burn Time (of trees for example) like in DST

Hello, fellow modders!

 

I took a quick look at propagator.lua, both in DS and DST, and I am quite curious, how it could be achieved through a mod, that trees (and other burnable prefabs) in Don't Starve (RoG) smolder, burn and spread fire exactly like in Don't Starve Together.

 

Maybe it is quite simple to implement, but somehow I don't get the clue right now. So all help is very much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

P.S.: Is it possible with a mod for Don't Starve to make the craft menu scrollable with the mouse wheel like in DST? So many questions...
