MrMoogles
I'm trying to make a dedicated server for my friends and I, but I am completely confused.(Never done this stuff before.) So i followed the wiki and my server does not show up in game, but it does show up here. http://my.jacklul.com/dstservers/ I'm pretty sure it has to do something with my router but idk how to configure any of that.I've looked at the forums but can't seem to find any instructions that match my router's page.I have an ARRIS if that helps. Also, when i launch the server, I was told everything looks fine up until this part. If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it! ToNiO55
Hi @MrMoogles, so this is server dedicated on other computer? or in host professional? your server dedicated have IP statics? if it's server dedicated on other computer try to make this on your NAT of your router and make IP statics on your server dedicated:
MrMoogles
Not completely understanding this. Where do I go to even open up the ports and enter all this info anyway?
ToNiO55
@MrMoogles, for the ports, you need to add port 10999 on your NAT of your router i have found screenshot of example of your router: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/kwKoLyojRL8/maxresdefault.jpg for make ip statics on your computer follow this tutorial: http://portforward.com/networking/static-win7.htm if you have not same settings in your router don't worry this is normal maybe you don't need to add ip statics like me on the router, this is depends of the router but that's exactly same for add ip statics on your computer good luck

elghosterino
I don't think you need to worry about the firewall warning, @MrMoogles. I'm still getting that warning even though everything is working properly. When you setup the port trigger, did you set a rule up for UDP? It's the Format dropdown in the screenshot that @ToNiO55 posted above. The tutorial specifies UDP only but I have both TCP and UDP open and it works, so you may have to create two triggers.
