It would be a nice idea to figure out why the crash was happening though?

 

I think it had to do with the cubs not having a placer, and not going to the inventory.

Therefore, some kind of custom placer was used and the game didn't know what to do?

 

Now placers are different, I think, to account for the rotation, so you need to specify the onground in

function MakePlacer(name, bank, build, anim, onground, snap, metersnap, scale, fixedcameraoffset, facing)

like in

MakePlacer("common/campfire_placer", "campfire", "campfire", "preview")

adding "preview".
