Would I be able to just edit one of the currently existing machines to make it look different and unlock my own items? Coding wise I guess there would be some work to do to make your new machine work like the Science Machine, in regards to recipes and so on... So Yes, its doable but you definitely need some coding + digital drawing knowledge.
