Dragonfly in Autumn?

So, I googled this but couldn't find anything, but I was running around with my friend introducing him to the game and I found a Dragonfly in a desert surrounded by cool magma pool things, in the middle of autumn. He wasn't doing anything, just sitting there. What is this?

She lives there throughout the seasons. You can fight her at anytime, and if she follows you too far from her home, she flies back home and resets her health. She has 27,500 health though, but you can get the scales a bit easier. 1,250 damage in a 5 second period will stun her, and an additional 2500 damage during the 10 seconds she is knocked out will give you scales once per fight.

 

Be warned though, I think at her 22,000 health mark she spawns her first wave of Larvae.
