Have you ensured that you are running the latest version of Don't Starve Together? You can force update your game by verifying DST's game cache. 

 

Also, could you ensure that you are not in Steam's "Offline Mode"? Your local Steam client may have logged out or have been put into Offline mode.

 

The game only allows LAN play/connection when in Steam Offline Mode.  Fully restart your computer and ensure that your Steam client is in Online mode.
