Kzisor
Since my Pond Manager mod will not be stable until Klei fixes the issues currently surrounding with how mods are loaded and unloaded, I've decided with to comply with a request from outseeker, to section off that part of my code and put it in a separate mod. However, I wanted to get feedback on the type of ice which would be supported by this new mod. Please read and answer the poll to give feedback or make a post if you have alternative suggestions. ~Kzisor/Ysovuka Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/49942-question-seeking-feedback-on-breakable-ice-for-ponds/ Share on other sites
SenL
Can you explain more about what is realistic ice?If it's only visual, then I vote for static. Kzisor
@SenL, realistic ice is based on how real ice grows and melts. The equation takes into account for the average temperature throughout the day and the amount of snow on the ground. Once the ice is broken the equation for that instance is reset back to 1 and starts over. Each pond instance will have different amounts of thickness based on when the last time they were broken occurred. The equation is very complicated, but I have a working module that is already set up. I wanted to know if it would be a welcomed addition to the easiness of fishing in winter. Edit:This is not the same equation I used for adaptive ice. It's a new equation entirely that I have been rewriting for the past month.
