Serious feedback regarding sound (PLEASE READ!)

You know that lovely little DING! sound you get when you pick up an item and because of that you are now able to make a new recipe?

The NEW RECIPE AVAILABLE DING we'll call it.

It plays exclusively in the right ear if you're using headphones.

Now that doesn't sound like much of a problem, but for one thing it's louder than most game sounds and if my volume is up too high it hurts

There's a number of solutions to this... one of the most obvious being to make that a stereo sound. Another good solution would be to add the option to make all sounds mono in the options menu.

Even if this is intentional, you have to understand not everyone likes this kind of thing. I'd at least like the option to make the sound mono for when I have an earache in my right ear and I want to be able to play without my ear bleeding at me.

I always play everything with headphones. I just now noticed because I have a headache.

No reason to use speakers unless you're going for Surround Sound.

I do have a surround sound system. It seems that Don't Starve only supports stereo at the time, however.

But hey, I'm not against a more stereo-friendly solution.
