Suggestion for Server resources

So I've been playing Don't Starve Together for a while now, for the most part on private servers, but I have slowly been venturing into public servers. The key thing I noticed about servers is that if they have existed for a long time, starter resources are very difficult to find, especially in the dedicated servers where most of the trees are burnt down as well.

 

I think that a way to keep the game running like the usual Don't Starve experience would be to add cues. I would be willing to wait for people to come together and set up a new game server where you start from scratch and not have to worry about the resources initially. Also with the ques you could implement different difficulty levels in the cues. I'm not saying that this would be the required way to play on a server, but it would be cool to be an option. Maybe with a waiting room and such.

 

I also think a game mode would be cool if it was kind of like the hunger games and resources were stockpiled in the middle of an area; and you can assemble into teams and such with pvp being on.

 

Anyways those are just some ideas I have right now...

Queues. "cues" are like things that let you know that it's the right time for you to do something, e.g. come on-stage.

 

But I think the reworked character select / lobby screen that's supposed to be happening at some point will help with this.

 

Plenty of game mode mods will be coming, and I'm sure there will be at least one like what you described.
