Silent947
Hey guys,I wanted to play with my friends, and hosted a server ingame. One has 50 ping (which is fine), the other has 120-150 ping, and sometimes goes even higher.I have 5mbps upload, so it's okay, I guess. Do you know what the problem could be?Also, they were not connected at once, only one by one, separated. F1sh
Well, ping depends on your internet, your friend's internet, and also how far you two are apart. Maybe it's one of these. Pyromailmann
Basically what F1sh said. But if you both have different internet service providers, that can be a factor. Silent947
Well, we have the same service, and he's like 30kms far from me. Can this be a problem with port forwarding or something like that? Silent947
Oh well... I don't know his download/upload speed, but since he's living in a city and I'm in a village, he must have at least as good connection as mine, which has 20 mpbs download and 5-6mbps upload speed according to Ookla's speedtest.net, which must be correct. We both play on laptop, mine has an intel i7 (I don't know which one atm), and a GeForce 840M video card. His one has intel i3 and I guess a GeForce 710m or 720m. The game is running fine, I don't think there would be a problem with the PCs. The problem should be with routing, right?Oh well...
