Wiping unlocks

I searched the forums and the wiki but couldn't find the information I needed.

I want to start fresh with no Science Machine/ Alchemy Engine unlocks for more of a challenge. Is there any way to do this while keeping all my characters?

no such mechanism for this at the current time, it's been talked about in several threads, but I don't think i've ever seen it as the primary topic.

so far, there's talk of research being revamped in a way that will retire research points but will allow the metagame to be unaffected too much regarding the reaquisition of higher grade recipes.
