Few questions...

Recommended Posts

I play on the PS4 and I'm on day 128, haven't died once yet. I feel like I have pretty much everything I need or can find to make almost anything.

I found all the "things" and everything that guards the wooden thing are dead. My question is, if I use it will I lose everything I have in my inventory and everything at my base including all of my farm?

Another question I have is, if I we're to download the new Reign of Giants DLC, would that automatically take over the game I'm talking about now or will that only incorporate into a new game that I start?

What else should I do? Heres whats in my inventory and chests at my base camp:

4 ice boxes

3 bird cages with birds

All "things"

1 father hat

1 fishing rod

104 charcoal

17 gold\

200 cut grass

140 rocks

100 logs

100 twigs

100 flint

boards blue print

healing salve blue print

puffy vest blue print

7 jet feathers

4 tentacle spots

9 cut reeds

1 papyrus

50 manure

4 tentacle spikes

32 silk

36 ashes

1 spider gland

6 gears

1 razor

2 tallbird eggs

4 fireflies

2 beefalo horns

2 bees

30 marble

4 living log

13 beefalo wool

2 lanterns

2 nightmare fuel

2pig skin

2 purple gems

2 red gems

1 heat stone

1 life giving amulet

1 grass suit

7 healing salve

Have every berry bush on land and some from the caves, plenty of crock pots, drying racks, and crops.

Any suggestions on what I should do or create next?

Sorry for the long thread

Go in the caves, explore, find the ruins. Don't die. Get 3 houndious shootious'.

If you go thru the teleportato, you basically start over. I think you keep any recipes you've learned along with anything you pre-built. But for the most part, you're starting over.

RoG content isn't available using the teleportato. You'll need to start a new game and make sure RoG is enabled.

Hope this answered your questions. Good luck with RoG! Haahahha

Yup, you answered em for me...thanks. Good to know that I can continue this game without the DLC being activated. Guess I'll try it out....sounds like its not gonna be easy though huh

I'm a frequent world hopper. Sometimes I don't bother staying in the world, and just nomad explore it before the change of the major season (summer/winter,) then leave through the Teleportato with a bunch of resources and pre-built structures so I have a "leg up" in the new world. Assuming you are not doing this and are leaving a well-established world like you listed in the OP:

Pretty much as Spencer mentioned above. Whatever you can carry with you, you take, but any crafted (but not placed) structures also go with you.

Before you go, keep spawning Krampus until you get his Krampus Sack or make a Piggyback to carry more stuff.

Everything else left in the old world goes away, but non-renewable resources also regen (I'm looking at you mandrakes and fireflies) in the new world.

Also, when you go to the new world, the day count resets to 1. This is huge for cumlative things (like the number of hounds that attack you for example.)

Also, since you can craft (but not place) structures when you Teleportato, and they go with you, you could craft one Houndius Shootius and take the components to build the other two with you for example.

Finally, you leave and restart in the new world with however your stats are at that moment, not at full. Heal up all stats (and remove wetness if a thing) to full BEFORE jumping in, and make sure you have basics like food and healing when you pop in the day 1 of the new world. Leaving when you're starving/near death/near insanity will not be something you want to start with!

Hope this all helped!
