XirmiX
So as you know I'm not that good with lua, right? Wrong. I have been studying Python for like a year now and I am starting to understand some of the main pats of the program, and when comparing it to lua, they had quite the similarity. I am not able to write something new with scratch (and by that I mean 'from nothing', not the program Scratch) but I am able to understand what part is what, since I see what features the game has and stuff. From before, I can see that all mods require some sort of Function at the beginning if you want to edit something that is already in the game and this is exactly what I am asking help of. Please, if there is anybody who knows how to write functions for mods, could you help me on some projects I've been working on for quite a while now? If you want to see them, then could you tell me how to upload a file in your posts, so that someone can download it? Please tell me, so that way I can share my unfinished projects that I need help on. Right now I want to make a mod with a set piece of Lure plants. I've followed one tutorial, step by step, but as I understand it, it was outdated. jbeetle
If you're referring to why it won't let you upload a file with a specific file extension, then upload it after you've put it in a zip file. But in general, use Dropbox, Google Drive, or some other similar simple file-sharing website and just paste the link they give you to your post. XirmiX
Download a great amount of mods that have features you want in yours. Study their files Make your own. Test, if it crashes - try again.. That's just not my way of doing it. How should I put it; Does not help me -_- You see, there are not any mods that actually have any similarity to what I am trying to do. First of all, most mods include one feature only, say some new Craftable items. Now, if I wanted a mod with several new stuff, like new Craftables AND different loots for the current mobs, the mod would not help a bit on that. If you're referring to why it won't let you upload a file with a specific file extension, then upload it after you've put it in a zip file. But in general, use Dropbox, Google Drive, or some other similar simple file-sharing website and just paste the link they give you to your post.Thanks. Here is the Setpiece mod, so can you or anyone else help: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b5fw1h3gba5sne9/Lureplant%20farm.zip Edited July 21, 2014 by XirmiX Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/38779-i-need-someone-who-i-can-always-ask-for-help-in-modding-when-i-need-it/#findComment-513847 Share on other sites
